Captain Blood

An all time classic by Rafael Sabatini is about the amazing story of an ex soldier and physician. Dr Blood is arrested after the Monmouth rebellion under the false accuse of high treason. Instead of being hung they send him to Bridge town in Barbados and sell him for 10 pounds into slavery. Then one night the Spaniards attack and they ransack the city. Dr Blood and the other slaves free themselves and hijack the Spanish ship. From then on captain Blood is a pirate and buccaneer. He almost gets caught twice; escaping with crazy last minute plans. The book is very well written. I really would recommend it to people for a good read. I give it a 7 3/4 out of 10.
